England Keeper Adam Smith became the latest football celebrity to do the ice bucket challenge.

The Social media phenomenon that has taken over the world in the last month was in safe sands this week as England 6 a side football goalkeeper Adam Smith did the challenge as the England squad met for training in Kenilworth.

Adam got a soaking from his team mates in aid of the ALS charity in America after the more important business of the training was out of the way.

The squad is still preparing for the miniEURO2014 Championships despite the fact that the tournament, which was due to be held in Israel in November was postponed last week.

Team members – including a very wet Adam – continue to train as they wait for news of a prospective new venue for the tournament, which should be announced in the next couple of weeks.

Team Director Paul Darke oversaw the session along with Coaches Mark Staines and Gary Thomas, and admitted that he thought the “team was shaping up nicely.”

As for the soaked Smith, he vowed to get his own back on his giggling team mates and nominated England squad skipper Ben Long as the next victim.
